Boardwalk Ice on Whyte Festival – Date of Festival: 25-28 January & 1-4 February.
This popular festival in Edmonton showcases internationally-acclaimed, professional ice carvings and is one of only three professional ice carving competitions in Canada. This year, they are showcasing talents from all over the world; artists from China, Nepal, Philippines, Mexico and more are going to come together to show us their beautiful ice masterpieces. The Ice on Whyte Festival was founded in 2003 by the Old Strathcona Business Association in partnership with local artists interested in presented the unique art-form of ice carving to Edmonton.
